Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone!  I wish you a fun filled, relaxing, Christ centered Christmas.  Here is a fun little Christmas tree ornament from the Purling Sprite.

And this is the Christmas Rose adapted in color from the Loom Lady's Felted Rose pattern.

Christmas Rose Story

It was a night of mystery and miracle. The long-awaited Messiah had been born in a stable in Bethlehem! All who heard the glad tidings came to offer him homage. From the East came the Wise Men, their camels laden with gold, frankincense and myrrh. A shepherd from an outlying field offered the Christ Child his fines lamb. People from the nearby inn gave whatever humble gifts they had.

Peeking through a knothole in the stable wall, a little peasant girl watched the spectacle. She wanted with all her heart to worship the Christ Child but she had nothing to give him. And so she began to cry. Where her tears wet the ground, a bush of beautiful white flowers sprang up. Full of wonder, she plucked the flowers and carried them reverently to Baby Jesus.  As he reached out to touch the lovely bouquet, a pink tinge appeared in the heart of each flower.    Ever since that moment, the Christmas Rose has bloomed during this holy season in honor of the birth of Jesus, and to remind us that the most loving gifts come from the heart.
